Aniela K. Szymanski, Esq. is the Vice Chair of the Executive Board of The Veterans Consortium. Aniela is the Chief Policy Officer for the Chief Warrant and Warrant Officers Association of the U.S. Coast Guard where she advocates for currently serving members of the Coast Guard and the broader military community. Amongst other positions, she clerked for the Honorable Robert Davis at the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, served as a Director of Government Relations for the Military Officers Association of America and was a visiting professor of practice at William & Mary Law School where she supervised the Lewis B. Puller Veterans Law Clinic. Aniela is a reserve judge advocate and civil affairs officer with the U.S. Marine Corps and has specialized in military and veterans law for nearly 20 years. She deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom to Afghanistan’s Helmand Province in 2011. She is a graduate of the University of San Francisco Law School.
