Shayla Rowe serves as the Client Intake Specialist for the Discharge Upgrade Program at The Veterans Consortium Pro Bono Program. Our Discharge Upgrade Program is sponsored by the DAV Charitable Service Trust.

In this role, Shayla handles the intakes of veterans looking to upgrade their Other Than Honorable (OTH) discharges. These OTH’s may be due to mental illness, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury, and/or Military Sexual Trauma. Prior to joining TVC, Shayla worked as an assistant to a psychiatrist and has an extensive background and knowledge surrounding mental health.

Shayla was born and raised in Pennington, New Jersey and moved to Washington, D.C. in 2010 to attend Howard University and pursue her B.A. in Biology and a minor in Chemistry.
