Giovanna Copat is currently serving as the Deputy Director of Client Services. She joined The Veterans Consortium (TVC) in May 2018 and has continually served in many capacities on the Client Services team including Docketing, Court filings, Client Intake and providing guidance to current and prospective clients about the Court process. In addition, she helped implement and currently manages the Rule 33 Pilot Program and oversees the receipt and processing of claims files (RBA’s). As a native Spanish speaker, Giovanna also translates client information and communicates with veterans and their family members from Spanish speaking communities.

Giovanna was born and lived in Los Angeles, CA until joining the U.S. Army. She served active duty for three years as a Legal Clerk in Babenhausen, Germany. She then served an additional ten years with the Indiana Army National Guard, as a Legal Non-Commissioned Officer. She is a graduate of Indiana State University (BS, political science) and Indiana University Maurer School of Law (JD).
Giovanna currently lives in Maryland. She enjoys paddleboarding, kayaking and many other outdoor activities. She has two children: her daughter is serving as a Medical Services Officer in the U.S. Army and her son is a Class of 2022 cadet at the United States Military Academy at West Point and will also be serving active duty in the U.S. Army.
