2025 Pro Bono Partner Awards
Please join us on Wednesday, November 12, for The Veterans Consortium's Annual Pro Bono Partner Awards in Washington, D.C.
We hold this event to recognize, celebrate and honor our generous sponsors, pro bono partners, volunteer attorneys, and Veteran advocates who are dedicated to our mission and our nation's Veterans.
Show the world YOU care about Veterans. The continued support of our corporate and law firm partners helps us provide free legal help to Veterans nationwide struggling with:
U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims cases
- “Other Than Honorable” discharges
- Military Sexual Trauma (MST)
- Obtaining U.S. Citizenship through Service
Thank You Disabled American Veterans!
Last month, at the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) National Convention, The Veterans Consortium was given the opportunity to spotlight our Discharge Upgrade Program, the impact our work makes on Veterans lives, and our ongoing partnership with the DAV and its Charitable Service Trust.
We were able to showcase our gratitude through a short video and brief remarks. It was incredible to see over 1,500 people be so captured by the impact an upgraded discharge can have on a Veteran's life, self-esteem, and sense of honor.
The Veterans Consortium is extremely grateful for the longstanding support of the DAV's Charitable Service Trust. We look forward to many more years of partnership and changing the lives of Veterans in need.
Distinguished Service Award Finalists
Thank you, Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce, for nominating The Veterans Consortium as a finalist for the Distinguished Service Award's Veteran Service Organization of the Year (>$1 million annual budget), again this year.
Congratulations to all the other finalists! We look forward to awards ceremony on September 18.

Welcome Aboard Dania!
We’re delighted to welcome Dania Y. Lofton, Esq., MPA, the new Staff Attorney for The Veterans Consortium's Discharge Upgrade Program -- sponsored by the DAV Charitable Service Trust.
Dania used to work in the mental health policy field, but felt a personal call to action after volunteering with us.
Dania earned her Juris Doctor from Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law. She’s barred in D.C. and is also accredited to represent veterans.
“Exploring a new path in Veterans law has allowed me to merge my passion for reading and analyzing complex documents with crafting legal arguments, while growing professionally and advocating for Veterans who selflessly served our nation.”
