PRESS RELEASE: Lee Woodruff to Serve as Master of Ceremonies for 2018 Awards Reception

Lee WoodruffThe Veterans Consortium is honored to announce that Lee Woodruff will serve as Master of Ceremonies and Moderator for the 2018 TVC Pro Bono Mission Partner Awards Reception & Fireside Chat on 3 October 2018, at Union Station in Washington, DC.

Ms. Woodruff is the co-author of the best-selling book In an Instant, contributor to CBS This Morning and co-founder of the Bob Woodruff Foundation.

Lee and her husband Bob have helped put a face on the serious issue of traumatic brain injury (TBI) among returning Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans, as well as the millions of Americans who live with this often invisible, but life-changing affliction.

Ms. Woodruff has been a contributing reporter for Good Morning America, and currently serves as a contributing reporter for CBS This Morning. Her best selling book, Perfectly Imperfect — A Life in Progress, was followed by her first novel, Those We Love Most, which became a New York Times best seller.


Join forces with The Veterans Consortium Pro Bono Program as we gather on 3 October 2018, to honor volunteers and stakeholders critical to our shared success. Our evening program will recognize our Pro Bono Mission Partners and supporters, while highlighting plans for future growth of our pro bone services to the veteran community, including our capability and capacity to address cases involving PTSD and traumatic brain injuries (TBI).

The awards portion of the program will be followed by a stimulating "fireside chat" moderated by Ms.Woodruff. Panelists will be respected national leaders with backgrounds in mental health treatment, the federal legislative branch, legal aid, and pro bone representation of veterans and their loved ones. Come hear how their work, in collaboration with TVC, is making a difference in the lives of our Nation's defenders by helping them obtain the care, benefits and compensation they have earned and deserve.
