Air Force Law Review, Vol. 54, 2004

… this issue of The Air Force Law Review is dedicated to the field of environmental law …  The articles promise to provide helpful information to Air Force practitioners as well as to share the scholarship of the authors through various research and library resources.
This volume is the first part of two parts dedicated to environmental issues.  New doctrine. new missions. new threats, and new weapon systems are all transforming the 20" Century Air Force into the aerospace force of the new millennium. Just as the warfighter evolves to meet these new challenges, the JAG Corps must likewise transform itself in order to enable and ensure mission accomplishment.
Both volumes are designed specifically for the installation environmental attorney and intended for use as a reference tool in his or her daily practice. I know you will find the articles both timely and thorough, and hope that you will use them as a starting point for your legal research in this challenging body of law.  I wish each of you the best of luck, and sincerely thank you for your efforts In furthering our stewardship responsibilities to the environment while ensuring mission accomplishment.
