Faces of TVC: Sandy Peterson
Sandy Peterson is the Manager of Client Services at The Veterans Consortium. However, she is not new to the organization, she first started as an intern during high school and continued to come back over summers; and again while attending University of Mary Washington as a student. She maintained close contact with the staff at the Consortium, and after working for the U.S Coast Guard as a contractor post-graduation, Ms. Peterson was offered a full-time position back at the Consortium. She has served as an integral part of the team for over eight years.
While leading her team, on an average day, Sandy interacts with at least 10-15 different clients, and from 20-30 on a busy day. Clients include veterans and their families, caregivers, and survivors.
Her favorite part about working at TVC is talking to the veterans, hearing their stories about how they fought for our Country, the pride they take in that, and what they went through for the freedoms we enjoy. She says, “they are so grateful that we are here to help them at the Court level”.
