Army veteran Floyd “Danny” Applegarth turned to The Veterans Consortium after his claim for service connection related to neck and back injuries from a car accident during active duty in Germany was denied.
His pro bono attorney found that the VA had failed to provide a proper medical examination and had ignored or misinterpreted clear evidence from his private doctors supporting his claim. He accepted help through The Veterans Consortium and his case was assigned to volunteer attorney Robyn Thorpe. She successfully secured a remand of his case back to the Board for further review, granting the veteran a chance to obtain the benefits he deserves.
