Katie Brado

Katie Brado is the proud daughter of US Navy Officer/Vietnam War veteran, granddaughter of a WWII D-Day veteran and niece, cousin, and friend to numerous active-duty service members and veterans in multiple branches of service. Having seen first-hand the daily sacrifices they make, Katie always had the utmost admiration and respect for veterans, and all those who are willing to sacrifice everything for a cause greater than themselves. She is honored to have the opportunity to help our veterans through The Veterans Consortium Pro Bono Program.

Before working at The Veterans Consortium, Katie worked in many industries, including restaurant, retail, corporate, and education. Most recently, she taught seventh grade English and coached a year-round club swim team (Nation’s Capital Swim Club). Prior to that, she worked for a SDVOSB technology company as a Global Mobility Specialist.

Katie graduated from Radford University with a B.S. in English in 2005, where she was member of Phi Sigma Sigma sorority and the school’s very first varsity women’s swim team.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, volunteering at her church, watching college football, and reading. Most weekends she can be found cheering on her nephew at his numerous sporting events.
