Leila Hashemi joined The Veterans Consortium (TVC) in February 2022. She is currently the Communications and Outreach Coordinator for the Communications Team at TVC. She creates and posts graphics, GIFS, short videos, flyers, and other relevant promotional items on TVC's official social media account. She also performs other administrative tasks and assists with fundraising and development.

Prior to joining TVC, Leila has created marketing and branding strategies for nonprofits in Richmond, VA and has most recently helped a local family business with online marketing and advertising to help combat the effects the pandemic has had on their business. 

In December 2020, she graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and a minor in Communications. She is bilingual, speaking both English and Farsi. 

In her free time, Leila spends a lot of her time painting, sketching, and harassing her cat, Coal! She also enjoys visiting her parents and spending time with her 10-year-old German Shepard, Mazie.
