Dee Wallace

Dee Wallace joined The Veterans Consortium team in August 2019. She works as the Program Coordinator, for the Discharge Upgrade Program, sponsored by the DAV Charitable Service Trust. The Discharge Upgrade Program represents veterans with an Other Than Honorable discharge due to misconduct related Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Military Sexual Trauma, Traumatic Brain Injury and other related mental health issues. Dee is responsible for determining Veteran eligibility for the Program. She conducts telephone intakes and responds to other incoming discharge upgrade inquiries. She also screens and reviews military records and post service medical records for case representation. Dee provides administrative support to the Program Director, Danica Gonzalves, Esq., and staff attorneys/volunteers, which includes correspondence preparation, and ensuring all database entries are current and up to date.

Prior to joining TVC, Dee was the Senior National Service Officer for Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) where she represented Veterans and their dependents/spouses before the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and Board of Veterans’ Appeals (BVA). While at VVA, she helped Veterans and their dependents/spouses apply for VA service-connected compensation benefits. She assisted with filing initial and supplemental claims, increased ratings, appeals to the BVA and representation at DRO hearings (Decision Review Officer).

When she’s not working, Dee enjoys quiet time at home binge watching movies and TV shows.
