Samantha Higgs, Esq.

Samantha Higgs serves as the Deputy Director of Case Evaluation & Litigation at The Veterans Consortium Pro Bono Program (TVC). She began as a 2018-2019 Fellow in the Veterans Legal Corps, sponsored by AmeriCorps and Equal Justice Works. She was an Equal Justice Works Fellow sponsored by Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP during her fellowship. In her current role, Samantha assists the Deputy Executive Director with litigation strategy and support to volunteers in the federal Pro Bono Program. She also assists with training and mentoring the members of TVC's National Volunteer Corps.

Samantha is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University (B.S. 2014) and The George Washington University Law School (J.D. 2018). While a student in law school, Samantha was an extern for TVC where she was given the opportunity to develop her case screening techniques. She volunteered at Paralyzed Veterans of America during her final year of law school and successfully won her first case on an appeal to the Board of Veterans Appeals. Prior to beginning her work as a Fellow for TVC, she was a student attorney for the D.C. Law Students in Court Civil Division.
