Ty Collier, Esq.

As a staff attorney for The Veterans Consortium, Ty Collier represents claimants before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims and analyzes incoming cases for potential placement with volunteer attorneys. Ty Collier is a former Marine officer and lawyer, having served as a Legal Assistance Attorney, Trial Counsel (prosecutor), and Lead Series Commander (manager of basic training).

Ty is a Marine major (USMCR) with six years’ active duty experience as a judge advocate. His most recent assignment was as an attorney adviser for Marine special forces in support of Operation Inherent Resolve.

Ty is a graduate of the Georgetown University Law Center (LLM, National Security Law), the Howard University School of Law (JD), and the McMicken College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Cincinnati (BA, moral & political philosophy). He is licensed in New York, DC, the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, and the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
