Our Commitment to Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy, we provide this notice explaining our on-line information practices. To make this notice easy to find, a link to it is placed at the bottom of all other pages on the web site.

Personal Information We Collect and How We Use That Information
We collect the following personal information using the tools indicated for the purposes specified below:
- Using Survey Monkey, we collect personal information for attorneys applying for our training class. This information is used to register the attorney for class and to communicate with the volunteer/potential volunteer. The address will also be provided to the client for their communication with the volunteer – please only provide an address appropriate for that purpose.
- Using Survey Monkey, we collect personal information for appellants requesting services. We use this information only to contact the applicant or for a volunteer attorney to contact the appellant if the case is accepted for placement.
- We link to Click & Pledge to collect donations. Information gathered by Click & Pledge is governed by its own privacy and security policies.
- Email links are provided to allow you to contact us via email. Your email address and any information you provide to us will appear in that email. We use your return email address and the content of your email to respond to your query. Such emails are filed, but the addresses and content you provide are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties. Please do not use social security numbers in your email communication.
The Veterans Consortium Pro Bono Program will only release personal information without your express permission under the following circumstances:
- Where release is required by law (for example, a subpoena) or regulation or is requested by a government agency;
- Where our records indicate a company may be engaged in fraudulent activity or other deceptive practices that a governmental agency should be made aware of;
- To appropriate persons, where your communication suggests possible harm to others.

Non-identifying and Aggregate Information We Collect and How We Use That Information
Non-identifying and aggregate information is collected in the form of web server logs, which collect the IP addresses of visitors, the files they access, and the types of operating systems and web browsers they use; and site search logs, which record the keywords on which searches are performed. We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our web site and serve our visitors’ interests.

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect via web server records, site search records, and email contacts.

Our Commitment to Children’s Privacy
Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our web site from those we actually know are under 13 years of age, and no part of our web site is structured to attract anyone under age 13.

How to Access or Correct Your Information
The only personally identifiable information that we collect is that which you send us via email or through Survey Monkey. You may request copies of your emails or Survey Monkey submissions, request that they be deleted, or send corrections or amendments to the address or content you have provided. Written confirmation will be provided for any changes or deletions that you request.
To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before making corrections.
